Operations Manager (Newton, MA)

Champ is seeking an experienced Operations Manager to assist overseeing the daily operations of our company. This role will manage our procedures and coach our employees to ensure that our business is well-coordinated and productive. The responsibilities of this role are very wide and requires extensive knowledge of various company procedures. The ideal candidate has proven experience in many different kinds of operational activities and is an excellent leader who can identify the most efficient ways to run a business. The goal of the Operations Manager is to safeguard and improve our company’s operations to the highest level of scale, efficiency and long- term success.

Responsibilities include:

  • Design, develop and maintain core operational processes that support collaboration/communications throughout all departments
  • Liaise with CEO to make decisions for operational activities and set strategic goals
  • Monitor the day-to-day business operations to ensure smooth progress
  • Plan workflow processes, performance management and budget
  • Fine-tune company deliverables as well as work efficiency and profitability
  • Regularly evaluate the efficiency of business procedures according to organizational objectives and apply improvements
  • Improve communications between team and clients
  • Review financial information and adjust operational budgets to promote profitability
  • Revise and/or formulate policies and promote their implementation
  • Evaluate overall performance by gathering, analyzing and interpreting data and metrics
  • Ensure that the company runs with legality and conformity to established regulations
  • Work closely with management teams, accounting and our CEO

Skills and qualifications:

  • Proven experience as Manager of Operations or equivalent position
  • Expertise in running a business team from an operational standpoint
  • Solid knowledge of web-based project management software
  • Experience with resources allocation management and related software
  • Preferred history with agencies/client-based setting a plus
  • Strategic thinker capable of building processes and executing new systems
  • Excellent organizational and leadership abilities
  • Outstanding communications and people skills
  • Driven, detail oriented and self-starter and track record of managing a team to bring projects/iniatives to completion
  • Play a key role with high impact on a young growing team/industry
